AGH University of Krakow is one of the biggest technical universities in Poland with 17 faculties, approximately 3000 teaching staff and 25 000 students. It started in 1913 as Mining Academy and in 1919 became a university. Centre of e-Learning and Innovative Education (CeLIE) was founded in 1996 to cooperate with the faculties and provide technical and pedagogical support in teaching and learning. CeLIE takes part in national and international cross-disciplinary initiatives to develop, implement and promote innovative teaching methods. It also develops programs and tools enhancing online learning and teaching.
