What problem did we try to solve and why?:
The action addresses the challenge of integrating AI into academic writing, helping students develop digital literacy, understand AI's impact, and use AI effectively in their work. It focused on development of critical thinking and application of new ICT tools.
Steps we took:
We began by introducing students to new concept and academic writing with AI tools, with each student selecting a tool for their essay. They wrote part of their essay using AI, analyzing its benefits and challenges. Throughout the semester, students shared their work on a forum, participated in discussions on assessment, engagement, and teacher support.
Results and learnings:
The action highlighted the importance of critical thinking in using AI for academic writing. Students learned to evaluate the strengths and limitations of AI tools, encouraging them to think critically about how AI could enhance or hinder their writing. They developed a deeper understanding of academic writing processes, including the need for originality, argumentation, and structure.

Do not give students OUR ideas to develop to help us. Start a student partnership strategy by exploring their ideas and turning them into workable ideas.
Steps we took:
In this workshop, We used infographics (how teachers' digital competence affects students) to make a first reflection on how it affects them. We tried through brain storming dynamics: How can we influence teachers and their CDD? And on the students? Concrete actions (let's make some concrete using CUTE CANVA) Which ones can you, the students, carry out? What incentives would be needed for students' commitment?

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
The action addressed the lack of innovative and ICT-integrated teaching materials for secondary school Informatics. By having university students create and publish teaching scenarios, we provided secondary school educators with new, creative resources aligned with the national curriculum. This also helped university students develop practical teaching skills, enhancing their preparedness for future roles as educators.
Steps we took:
The university teacher guided students in creating teaching scenarios aligned with the national curriculum and integrating ICT skills. Students shared drafts for feedback, refined their work, and published the final scenarios in the national repository, EDUTORIJ. The teacher reflected on the process to improve future practices.
Results and learnings:
One of the lessons learned was the importance of collaboration and feedback in refining teaching practices. Students benefited from sharing ideas and receiving diverse perspectives, which improved their final scenarios. It also demonstrated how reflective practices for both students and teachers can lead to continuous improvement in teaching methods and content creation.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
Students are mostly unaware of the DIGCOMPEDU framework and the concept of digital competence in teaching. They believe that it is exclusively a matter for teachers and, even worse, that it does not affect them. If they analyse how it affects them, they could engage, participate, or cocreate future actions to help promote digital competence in their institution.
Steps we took:
During this seminar, students will learn about the different areas of DigCompEdu and the competences within each. Focus groups will then explore how students perceive the impact of a teacher’s development of these competences on their learning opportunities. The students’ reflections will be compiled into infographics, made in groups, and shared publicly to promote discussion among students and the educational community.
Results and learnings:
The students participated with great interest and enthusiasm. In total, 60 students participated in groups of 4 people, and, with this configuration, the time for elaboration was scarce. They used different devices to create the infographics (mobiles, tablets, laptops...). We think they could work in larger groups to use the time better. It is vital to be very attentive to the working time and help to make the first reflections.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
The lack of understanding and awareness of how teachers’ Digital Competence impacts student learning across different academic disciplines. Educators and students often lacked concrete, relatable examples of digital teachers' competence's positive and negative impacts. This made it difficult to fully grasp the importance and application of digital skills in education. Students often felt disconnected from the DTC and did not see themselves as part of the solution.
Steps we took:
Using infographics created by students in other CUTIE seminar as catalysts, groups from different academic disciplines (Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Health Sciences, Experimental Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, and Social and Legal Sciences) gathered examples of how TDC positively and negatively affected students in each area of DigCompEdu. The results were used to create collections of infographics, serving as examples for students, with one collection per area
Results and learnings:
We created 5 collections, one for each area of knowledge, with 1 inforgraphic for each area of DigcompEdu. These are resources that can be reused in various seminars or as a tool for dissemination and reflection.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
This action addresses the challenge of equipping future teachers with the skills to design effective, curriculum-aligned teaching plans using digital tools. It bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fosters collaboration between university and secondary school educators, and enhances the quality of teaching through iterative feedback and reflection.
Steps we took:
Students are introduced to the BDP-LD tool and create teaching plans aligned with the curriculum and didactical principles. These plans are shared with teachers for feedback, refined, and re-shared via a course forum for peer discussion. After implementation, students analyzed the plan's effectiveness with their teacher, reflecting on improvements. The course ended with a review of best practices to enhance future teaching and planning competencies.
Results and learnings:
One group of students was eager to use the BDP-LD tool for planning, while the other group wanted to conduct the planning in traditional way (through a document/form). When the tool was used it enabled students new possibilities in planning, but also resulted with new challenges when receiving feedback from the secondary school teachers.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
The project aimed to address the challenge of evaluating educational content developed using generative AI. Traditional evaluation methods may not adequately assess AI-assisted work, especially in areas like plagiarism, accuracy, and originality. This initiative sought to provide educators with effective tools and strategies for fair and thorough evaluation.
Steps we took:
Students used generative AI as a tool to help them update and develop new content related to specific topics. The work was shared with 1-2 peers who critically evaluated the content, checking for plagiarism and accuracy of information.Groups developed instructions for peer-to-peer and teacher evaluations, shared results on the FOI platform, and presented them in workshops. In the end, students reflected on how generative AI assisted them in content development and proposed evaluation mechanisms.
Results and learnings:
The project provided practical evaluation tools for AI-assisted work, highlighted AI's strengths and limits, and emphasized collaboration and critical analysis for educators and students.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
Many academic teachers use multiple-choice tests, which don’t engage higher-order thinking and can lead to cheating. We organized a seminar on formative assessment to help teachers create more meaningful exams.
Steps we took:
We conducted an annual survey to identify the assessment methods academic teachers knew. Then, we held three seminars: the first raised awareness on the importance of formative assessment, shared research, and student feedback. The second focused on practical techniques. In the final seminar, participants created their own formative assessments, working individually and in groups, with peer reviews of their work.
Results and learnings:
All 30 participants created new assessments and updated old exams. We raised awareness of the importance of formative assessment and created a space for academics to exchange ideas and learn from each other. We discovered that in mechatronics, formative assessment is challenging due to the time needed for complex mathematical problem-solving. This led us to adopt a more individualized approach to support the mechatronics department.

What problem did we try to solve and why?:
The language used in the DigCompEdu framework is too specific and specialized, making it unlikely that teachers in each area of knowledge will understand what each area refers to. This could reduce their familiarity with the framework and prevent them from seeing it as a target for professional development.
Steps we took:
An introduction will be given to the teaching staff about the different areas of DigCompEdu and the competencies included for each academic knowledge area, using the examples offered in the infographics as conversation starters. Afterwards, in working groups, they will be asked to provide viable examples (either one they already implement or could implement) that can exemplify their development of Digital Competence.
