CUTIE work meeting in Akureyri, Iceland

Greetings from Akureyri, Iceland! Our recent CUTIE Work Meeting was remarkable, with significant progress on Work Packages 2, 3, and 4. During the Work Meeting, we experienced all kinds of nature's magic, from snowstorms and a volcanic eruption to the unique experience of the midnight sun.

Lunch Seminar on AI in Higher Education

One highlight of our meeting was the lunch seminar on using AI in higher education, held onsite and online. Participants from various institutions joined in, fostering rich discussions on the benefits and limitations of AI in HE. We look forward to explaining more AI-connected material on our project website.

Collaborative Efforts

We have made significant progress in integrating actions from WP2 and WP3. Exploring how similar initiatives could lead to different outcomes across diverse institutions has improved our collective understanding and approach. Most partners have taken steps to implement or use AI at their institutions. Once these actions are implemented and documented, they will be available in our CUTIE catalogue.

Insights into WP4

Our partner from the University of Galway provided an insightful overview of Work Package 4, detailing the development of materials and facilitation of events to enhance digital competencies in higher education. This package includes local development initiatives, modular learning materials, and training sessions tailored to institutional needs.

Importance of the CUTIE Project

We can see the value of participating in an Erasmus Plus project as the partners establish new networks across European universities. Our focus is on improving digital competencies at an institutional level.

Looking Ahead

This September, we are preparing to participate in Croatia's 35th Central European Conference on Information and Intelligent Systems. There, a workshop will showcase and introduce the CUTIE project's successes to a broader audience.

We sincerely thank the University of Akureyri for their warm hospitality and flexibility in adjusting the work meeting due to the impact of natural forces. Their team building for CUTIE partners has established a solid foundation for collaboration and innovation.

With renewed energy and valuable insights, we continue to drive forward our mission to boost digital competencies in higher education.
